Before joining WCSO, were you ever inspired by other Change Makers in the law enforcement community?
I was inspired to help community members be safe through understanding their needs, arresting those who do harm through criminal acts, and helping victims.
What are some key moments during your WCSO career that you realized you were a Change Maker?
As a leader at different levels, seeing our team’s successes; helping migrant farm workers at labor camps; uncovering a suitcase full of cocaine on a knock & talk; removing intoxicated drivers from road; solving a murder through interview.
What are some goals you have for furthering change in the community?
Rebuilding trust where it’s faltered.
If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring deputies, what would it be?
Get to know people who are not like you to see we have a lot in common and the joy that comes with working together for good.
