Oregon Physical Abilities Test (ORPAT) Practice Session

The Oregon Physical Abilities Test — also known as ORPAT —  is designed to replicate critical and essential physical tasks and demands faced by police officers in the normal performance of their duties. Specific tasks and overall physical demands are replicated in the ORPAT through the use of a carefully designed and validated, timed “obstacle course.” It is a state-wide requirement for anyone applying to become a law enforcement officer.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is hosting an ORPAT practice test session at our brand new Public Safety Training Center in Hillsboro on Sunday, February 9, 2020 between 8am – Noon. The event is open to anyone interested in becoming a jail or patrol deputy. Attendees may arrive at any time between 8 and 12, but will be respectfully turned away after 12:01. Wear comfortable athletic clothing.

This is NOT an official ORPAT administered test. Test scores captured during the practice session are only intended to inform candidates about their physical abilities and will not be submitted.
